Minecraft is a three-dimensional sandbox game that does not have any specific goals for the participant to perform, allowing players plenty of independence in choosing how to experiment with the gameHowever, there is an achievements system. Gameplay by default is first person, but players have the choice to experience in third person method. The core gameplay revolves around putting and breaking blocks. The game world is composed of rough 3D objects--mainly cubes--arranged in a fixed grid pattern and representing different materials, such as dirt, stone, various ores, water, lava, tree trunks, etc. While players can move around the world freely, objects can only be positioned at fixed locations on the grid. Players can gather these material place and blocks them somewhere else, thus enabling various constructions.In the beginning of the game, the participant is put on the top of the procedurally generated and almost infinite game world. The globe is split into biomes ranging from deserts to jungles to snowfield. Players can walk over the terrain comprising plains, mountains, forests, caves, and various water bodies. The in-game time system employs a night and day circuit, with one full cycle lasting 20 real-time minutes. Throughout the course of the game, players face various non-player individuals known as mobs, including pets, villagers and hostile creatures. Non-hostile animals--such as cows, pigs, and chickens--can be hunted for food and crafting materials, and spawn in the day time. In comparison, hostile mobs--such as large spiders, skeletons, and zombies--spawn during nighttime or in dark places, such as caves. Some Minecraft-unique animals have been mentioned by reviewers, such as the Creeper, an exploding creature that sneaks up on the player; and the Enderman, a creature with the ability to teleport and pick up blocks.
