Minecraft is a three-dimensional sandbox game that does not have any specific goals for the ball player to accomplish, allowing players a great amount of independence in choosing how to learn the gameHowever, there is an achievement system. Gameplay by default is first person, but players have the choice to play in third person mode. The core gameplay revolves around putting and breaking blocks. The game world comprises rough 3D objects--mainly cubes--arranged in a fixed grid pattern and representing different materials, such as dirt, stone, various ores, water, lava, tree trunks, etc. While players can move easily around the world, objects can only be placed at set locations on the grid. Players can collect these material blocks and place them somewhere else, allowing for various constructions thus.In the beginning of the game, the gamer is put on the top of any procedurally produced and nearly infinite game world. The earth is split into biomes ranging from deserts to jungles to snowfield. Players can walk over the terrain comprising plains, mountains, forests, caves, and various water bodies. The in-game time system uses a day and night routine, with one full routine prolonged 20 real-time minutes. Through the entire course of the game, players come across various non-player individuals known as mobs, including animals, villagers and hostile animals. Non-hostile animals--such as cows, pigs, and chickens--can be hunted for food and crafting materials, and spawn in the daytime. By contrast, hostile mobs--such as large spiders, skeletons, and zombies--spawn during nighttime or in dark places, such as caves. Some Minecraft-unique animals have been mentioned by reviewers, such as the Creeper, an exploding creature that sneaks through to the player; and the Enderman, a creature having the ability to teleport and grab blocks.
