Minecraft is a sandbox gaming formerly created by Swedish game creator Markus "Notch" Persson, and developed and publicized by Mojang later. The creative and building areas of Minecraft enable players to develop constructions out of textured cubes in a 3D procedurally made world. Other activities in the game include exploration, tool gathering, crafting, and fight. Multiple gameplay modes are available, including survival setting where the player must acquire resources to generate the world and maintain health, a creative setting where players have unlimited resources to create with and the capability to fly, an excitement mode where players can play custom maps created by other players, and a spectator function where players can journey around and clip through blocks, but cannot place or ruin any. The Laptop or computer version of the game is noted for its modding scene, where a dedicated community creates new gameplay technicians, items, and investments for the game.Minecraft received praise from critics upon release, and triumphed in numerous accolades and awards.
