Minecraft is a three-dimensional sandbox game that has no specific goals for the ball player to perform, allowing players a great amount of liberty in choosing how that can be played the gameHowever, there is an achievements system. Gameplay by default is first person, but players have the choice to experience in third person setting. The core gameplay revolves around inserting and breaking blocks. The game world comprises rough 3D objects--mainly cubes--arranged in a set grid pattern and representing different materials, such as dirt, stone, various ores, water, lava, tree trunks, etc. While players can move widely around the world, objects can only be positioned at predetermined locations on the grid. Players can gather these material blocks and place them elsewhere, enabling various constructions thus.In the beginning of the game, the player is placed on the top of a procedurally produced and almost infinite game world. The planet is divided into biomes which range from deserts to jungles to snowfield. Players can walk across the terrain consisting of plains, mountains, forests, caves, and various water bodies. The in-game time system practices a full day and night routine, with one full circuit lasting 20 real-time minutes. Through the entire course of the game, players encounter various non-player character types known as mobs, including pets, villagers and hostile animals. Non-hostile animals--such as cows, pigs, and chickens--can be hunted for crafting and food materials, and spawn in the day time. In comparison, hostile mobs--such as large spiders, skeletons, and zombies--spawn during nighttime or in dark places, such as caves. Some Minecraft-unique animals have been mentioned by reviewers, including the Creeper, an exploding creature that sneaks up on the ball player; and the Enderman, a creature having the ability to teleport and pick up blocks.
