Minecraft is a sandbox video game formerly created by Swedish game custom Markus "Notch" Persson, and developed and publicized by Mojang later. The creative and building aspects of Minecraft enable players to generate constructions out of textured cubes in a 3D procedurally made world. Other activities in the overall game include exploration, learning resource gathering, crafting, and combat.
